The theme for 2010 is Reconciliation!
The Harmony Film Festival is pleased to announce that its 2010 theme will focus on the notion of reconciliation. Filmmakers from around Australia and the world are invited to submit a short film on the above theme in any genre, with the aim of providing greater understanding of the concept of reconciliation within our society. What is reconciliation? How do we apply it in our lives? and why is it important to reconcile with others in order to make the world a more peaceful and harmonious place?
We welcome all submissions and ideas that may fit within this topic and look forward to receiving films that are uplifting, thought-provoking and creative.
Reconciliation (literally to meet again) has been selected the theme for 2010 because of its importance and centrality to building a harmonious society. Intrinsically linked to respect between individuals and people from different backgrounds, re-establishing normal relations between belligerents, reconciliation will be instrumental in laying the foundations of a peaceful world.
