IMPORTANT Change of Entry Conditions
Wednesday, 27 April

To encourage the submission of more entries on the theme of "Woman" and to allow the further exploration of the issues entailed, we are accepting films which do not contain the 2005 signature item.

The signature item is no longer required for this year and will be reintroduced in 2006.

If you have any questions about this change in the entry conditions please contact one of the team!

New Festival Team Member
Tuesday, 29 March

We have a new member on the Harmony Team, introducing Ron Mitchell. Ron is an environmental scientist and experienced teacher living in the Northern Territory. He is the President of the Darwin-based NT Filmmakers Association and is the Director of the Top End's annual Down Under International Film Festival, now in its third year. In 2004 Ron was the Coordinator of the NT Government sponsored 'Your Territory' short film competition and the Youth Film Festival for National Youth Week and earlier this year he helped stage the most successful state screening of the Harmony Film Festival!

We have no doubt he'll be a valuable addition to the Harmony team! You can read his full bio on our 'About the Festival' page...

New Name, New Year and a New Festival Website
Monday, 14 March

Welcome to our brand new home online. With the start of a new year the festival has had a new look for 2005 and a brand new website. If you're interested in entering the festival this year we have a fantastic theme for you and an interesting challenge with the addition of our signature item requirement. You can read more about both here.

Another important addition to the festival has been our online forums, where you can chat and get together with other filmmakers and film devotees across the globe. If you have feedback or suggestions from last year’s festival, get online and post them up.

Finally in 2005, we are happy to announce our first Film Camp at the serene setting of Yerrinbool College just an hour South of Sydney. Learn more about this exciting opportunity here.
